Access Routes

When hiring a skip from Retford Waste in Lincoln, please ensure open access routes for drop-off and collection. Generally, skip hire delivery will require a 9ft entrance space, whilst you’ll also need enough space on the road leading up to the delivery point for delivery lorries to approach.

Skip Placement

Our delivery drivers will work with you to find the best placement for your hired skip. Each of our 3 commonly hired domestic skips (4-yard midi, 6-yard midi, 8-yard builder’s skip) are perfectly sized to fit in gardens or on household driveaways. This means they won’t block roads or public access. If no driveway is available, these skips are small enough to take up around the same amount of road-space as a parked car.

Permit Requirements

If you don’t have room on your premises, and instead need to place your skip on a public highway, it is essential to obtain permission from the local council in the form of a permit. We will be able to organise this with Lincoln’s local council body for you and simply add the cost of the permit to your overall order.
