Access Routes

If you’re hiring a skip in Nottingham, please make sure to consider access routes for drop-off and collection. Most of the time, skip hire delivery will require a 9ft entrance space, whilst you’ll also need enough space on the road leading up to the delivery point for delivery lorries to approach.

Skip Placement

Each of our three commonly hired domestic skips (4-yard midi, 6-yard midi, 8-yard builder’s skip) are perfectly sized to fit on household driveways or gardens. This means they’ll be out of the way and won’t block roads or public access. If no driveway is available, these skips are small enough to take up around the same amount of road space as a parked car. Our delivery drivers will work with you to find the best placement for your hired skip.

Permit Requirements

It is necessary to obtain permission from the local council via a permit for skips that are to be placed on public highways. As an authorised contractor for skip hire in Nottingham, we will organise council permits for you and add the cost of the permit to your order. We will only add the cost that each council charges.
